Hadleigh Guildhall

Hadleigh Guildhall complex is situated on the south side of St Mary’s churchyard and is some six hundred years old. Over the years it has had many uses from market house and Guildhall all the way to a cloth hall and even a school. Present day it is used as the offices for the local town council. The Timber framed building is open to the public and guided tours are available by prior arrangement. Tea can also be taken in the award winning newly recreated medieval style garden.

Hadleigh Market Feoffment Charity has held the beautiful Town Hall and Guildhall Complex in this historic Suffolk town in trust since 1438. Many local residents and visitors remain unaware that this Grade I listed building has a number of magnificent rooms and hall available to hire including The Grand Hall, The Dining Room, The Old Town Hall, The Guildroom, The Council Chamber and a secluded garden area.

The exterior is painted in, what is considered in this part of the county to be, the authentic Suffolk Pink.
