2011_06_26 The Cats of Rome
Find the kitties.

They all dwell in Rome's Largo di Torre Argentina. Or just "Argentina" on the bus and train stops. Within these ruins are four Republican Roman temples, and the remains of Pompey's Theatre, all within the ancient Campus Martius, of which the main surviving structure is the nearby Pantheon. Julius Ceasar was probably assasinated somewhere in here. Today it is a broad open rectangular basement that is home to hundreds of stray cats, which are now a subject of controversy. In fact I'm putting up this series of pictures to give those writing about the story some shots they can use.
