2009_05_31 Georges Island
All the shots of everything you see in this series are inside the city limits of Boston. The Harbor Islands are a mess of gems, just a few minutes by ferry from the city. This one, Georges Island, is primarily occupied by Fort Warren, which dates back to the early 1800s and was decommissioned after WWII. Most of its many rooms, halls and stairwells are open to the public and a thrill for kids of all ages to explore. In this case I did that with two 12-year-old boys. Had a great time.
