Here I visited in Chrome with no ad blocking and no trackers turned off. Here I see what is clearly a generic ad from Amazon for kindle (which I've probably never bought and never will), and clearly personalized messages regarding four John McPhee books (all of which I already have, and probably bought from Amazon) and two kinds of headphones I might buy because I've looked at some (notably the Beats, because Consumer Reports top-rated one model of those. I also see an ad for Women's running shoes, which makes me think that maybe Amazon thinks perhaps now I'm female or shopping for females. But I see up top that this page is "Doc's Amazon.com." So I guess its robot thinks I'm shopping. "Textbooks Rent, Buy, Sell" might be relevant to me, because I do have some already bought from Amazon, and it might guess I work in academic environments. As for the "P-R-E-C-I-O-U-S" ad, all I can guess from the rest of the page is that Amazon now thinks maybe I'm gay. Whatever the story is here, it's bad guesswork all around, and confused social and economic signaling. Next screenshot...
