The display is placed near the old railroad bed, now the Minuteman Bikeway — a great bike trail. And it looks out over Spy Pond, showing and explaining the scene 1.5 canturies earlier. This was 1/100th of the way back to the time when Spy Pond was a large melting blob of ice: the remains of the departing Wisconsinian Ice sheet: an event that left Long Island, the Cape and islands of Massachusetts, the hills around boston, and all these ponds.
