Nubra Valley in a Reflection

"Adventure in the Land of the Ancient Gods"

LADAKH : Day 7

I took this photo before sunset in an area of 10 km before arrived at our campsite in Hunder, Nubra valley. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La from Leh. This is the only road access to Nubra Valley, over Khardung La pass, considered as the highest motorable road in the world. Nubra Valley is a plateau that lower than the city of Leh, approximately 3.200m asl, but because the valley is directly surrounded by high mountain ranges of Karakoram so the sunset atmosphere here looks very different where the sun had disappeared behind the mountain in advance before sunset as usual time.

Thanks for your kind visit and support.
