Twilight castle

Eliean Donan Castle

Our trip to Scotland last year resulted in some lucky weather conditions including a still high tide in the evening where we were staying at Ratagan - 20 minutes away from this famous castle. It is actually a reconstruction but looks every bit the real thing. With its lighting and charm, there were photographers swarming around but not in this spot that Marianne and I found where the rocks where yellow and also very slippery. We actually saw someone slip and smash his camera on the rocks ......don't know what the damage was but he didn't look impressed and headed back to the other side of the bridge. Marianne's shot from this position won 12th place in the recent competition.
