Camels in the Sahara Desert

Heading to Morocco, I was really looking forward to visiting the Sahara desert. We hopped on our camels and headed out into a sea of sand. Some sand dunes looked like mountains. As luck would have it, a storm rolled up and stayed most of the night. I couldn't believe it! I was sitting in a tent that was not designed to keep out the pouring rain. I was wet, the walls blew in, the sand made a home in my sleeping bag and the cracking thunder made it impossible to fully sleep. I just had to laugh and hope that our tent would not blow away. We woke at 4:30 after the storm had passed. We then walked under the stars to the top of this huge sand dune and watched the sunrise over the Sahara. It was an incredible sight that made everything worth while.
