048/365 - Two Bare Bulbs
…my balding one, and a bare 60W light bulb, that is.
More lighting/self-portrait experimentation, and, suprise of suprises, I got the look I was going for with only 5 or 6 shots this time. Set up the bare bulb and framed things the way I wanted them, then dialed in the exposure I wanted for the lit bulb itself. Set up my flash on a remote trigger, fitted with a grid. Grabbed my wireless remote release for the camera, and did my usual mediocre job posing, et voila.
Nikon D7000 with Nikkor 18-200mm @ 32mm, 1/30s @ ƒ9.5, ISO100. Sunpak 433AF on Cactus V4 wireless trigger, 1/8 power, 1/4" honeycomb grid, off camera right and slightly behind.
I have an idea for another bare-bulb selfie, but I have some soldering to do to make that one happen.
