Never Ending

From a walk across the highline. I got to use the Leica M9 by signing up with the Leica Akademie workshop. 2 hours with the camera wasn't enough, more talking then picture taking.

    Nice perspective.

I just love the M9 and i endorse what you said about it. The only thing i just can't stand is the amount of noise on the high iso (even though 800 iso is not so high). Maybe with the new M something's changed.

Enzo Natale I didn't get the iso very high but it was clear it wouldn't handle very well. I think the monochrome high iso is much improved and lets see what the new M offers. I'm surprised the price isn't higher!

Looks like an evacuation. All the traffic headed the same direction. Escaping Frankenstorm?

I've shot from this exact same spot! I'm glad you're trying the M9. It would suit your style & mode of operation, but I guess you'd know that from your R-D1 usage. I've found the M9 in the past to be slightly buggy, but I'm guessing with the latest firmware, it's more rock-solid (it would have to be for the ME release). At low ISO it has awesome image quality & colour richness. The mono version is indeed much better for high ISO & lower noise (from what I've read) but personally I'm not sure I could live with just B&W. The new M will be interesting to see in this regard (seems very promising from early shots) but then there's the cost... enjoying your stream as always.

I think this photo has been shot SO SO SO many times that renowned photographers such as yourself should refuse to photoshoot it... :P Well, except for those with an M9. My X1 has been there too...

How was the workshop? And borrowing an M9 is dangerous...That's how I wound up convincing myself to buy one! ;)
