IPC Skydiving Boogie 2009, diving after Wayne

    Newer Older

Taken during the Irish Parachute Club (IPC) 2009 summer Boogie in Ireland! Although the weather was marginal for jumping by Emerald Coast standards, if you go high enough it's always a beautiful day outside!

Here Axel is coming down to Wayne as part of a 3-way relative work (RW) jump we did in July 2009. Framing photos in freefall without a camera sight is always a challenge; I was lucky here to have Axel in the top of the frame with the hint of the blue sky just slightly askew. I think I makes for a wonderful feeling of what skydiving is all about: drastic scenery, bluest blues, and dynamic motion (some of it even graceful) all happening in a split second.

    Blue Skies,
    Elvis

It's a fantastic shot. I did a little photo manipulation, just for fun. I tried sending you directly to the full size image, but I couldn't get the link to work. So, this is my flickr link, there you'll see the link to the full 48"x36" image.
