Taken tonight at Aberdeen Beach during an impromptu photo shoot. I opted to head for the gym rather than go out for sunset - once finished at the gym I was stuck in traffic along the boulevard as the sun was setting to the left over the city. To the right there was some lovely subdued colours seeping into the sky across the horizon. I was still in sweaty gym gear (only shorts and t-shirt) and decided what the heck - lets make some photos!
I parked up at the North end and made my way across and had a play with some lovely ripples in the sand left behind by the receeding tifde. As the warmer colours in the sky where just about fading I happened apon this lovely plateau of high sand which each wave could not breach and slipped gently back into the sea. I set up the camera so one half of the sky was like night and the other half slightly warmer with the fading sunset colours.
I really love shooting "nothing" when I am at the coast, the simple sinous and elegant line more than enough to fill a photo for me.
Man was I happy to get back to the car afterwards - I was freeezing!!!
