The Great Giant Sequoia and us

Newer Older

The amazing bark on the Giant Sequoia and Red Woods is fire proof and insect resistant. This helps them to live over two thousand years. Some have been hollowed out due to lighting burning out the flammable inside. Indians have been also known to have lived in them as they are very insulative.

Oh my, look at those tiny people.

    ~ha kidding~
I grew up in the area. I miss the spirit of those trees. I've been to four of the groves.

Hi, I am quite impressed by this picture. As I'm planning a trip to California next September, I'd like to show this present picture on my Facebook. Would you agree if I would do so? Thanks in advance for your signoff.
