a comment on global warming
A cock and bull story. England is in the grip of the coldest winter for over 100 years, with record low temperatures likely to drop below minus 27 degrees Centigrade (minus 17 Fahrenheit) this week. Climatologists predicted that global warming would mean warm wet winters in the UK. At the very least, their models are wrong. This was taken at the Cock Hotel, Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire in the south of England, today. This hotel is the origin of the 'cock and bull' story, along with the Bull Hotel just up the street. In case there is any confusion - a 'cock' is a male bird such as a chicken, hen or sparrow - cock is short for cockerel - what Americans call a 'rooster'.
