Kansas Squall (one of my favs)

This is a shot of a former supercell turned squall line in Kansas on May 26, 2006. This storm was a good lesson in how accelerating gust fronts are hard to outrun -- it took us a good half an hour to get in front of this thing as it accelerated from 25mph to nearly 60. Finding this barn was serendipity. It's one of my favorites; I use it as my main website opener image. No, this isn't HDR nor has it been run through any tone mapping algorithms.

This shot will be included in the Tornado Alley IMAX press kit.
