Solar Eclipse, Aug 2017
Almost didn't make it due to clouds but at the end they added beautifully dramatic views - more than I could have wished for. Notice the partial eclipse captured in some of the orange flares - blessed and lucky.

Used here is my old Nikon D800 with my favorite lens - a 200mm f2 G VR on most pictures. The last three purple ones were taken with manual 85mm f1.4 AF-S and natural density variable filter. One can see the limitations of the 1980s lens design, however I get away with it most of the time. It is still a great portrait lens to work with.

Enjoy!
