      Curator Thomas Simonsen left the following comment about this picture at the Encyclopedia of Life:

      "I am not sure, but it looks more like Alucita grammodactyla."

      Hi Thomas.

      Thanks for the comment. I can't see any reason to identify this one as A. grammodactyla. All the images I have seen of that species have much more even narrow dark and light bands crossing all four wings. The broad and irregular bands on the forewings of this moth match images of hexadactyla.
