      I remember riding on that a couple of times in the early 90s. The creaking of the structure added greatly to the atmosphere of the ride.

      7th April 2008: After a suspicious fire late this afternoon, now no longer the UK's oldest surviving rollercoaster. Well, not complete anyway.

      ...built in 1920 by John Henry Iles, and riden by me in the 1970s.

      Great composition with the colours in the foregound. Oh, how this photo says "chilly".
