Teaching the importance of breastfeeding in India

UK aid is funding breastfeeding counsellors like Varshna (right) in nutrition rehabilitation clinics across Madhya Pradesh, as part of efforts to educate pregnant women and new mothers about the importance of breastfeeding from birth to combat malnutrition.

 

The UK has helped to provide nutrition services to nearly half a million additional/extra children and pregnant women in Madhya Pradesh over the last three years.
