Children look out at the sunset over the Bamarne IDP camp in northern Iraq
Iraqi children look out at the sunset over the Bamarne informal camp for Internally Displaced Persons, in northern Iraq. The camp is made up of 147 families, over 900 individuals, mostly from Sinjar, from where they fled ISIL attacks in 2014.
The UK air-dropped shelter kits and other humanitarian aid to people trapped on Mount Sinjar in August 2014, and has since provided further support such as tents, winter supplies and cash assistance to displaced people who have now made it to safety in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq.
