One of the great lessons the fall of the leaf teaches, is this: do your work well and then be ready to depart when God shall call. Tryon Edwards

Here is the promised story about Gaia and the rabbit. This lovely dog loves to run about about and play with other animals in a very friendly way. never would she do any harm to an ant.

When she was still in the first family, before my friend adopted her,she was living in a semidetached house with a small garden.

The neighbours had a black rabbit as a pet. their rabbit was usually plaing in their own garden. This day the rabbit went to the neighbours and ended up in front of Gaia's nose in her garden. It got scared and started to run away and entered the house threough the patio door. Gaia went after it.

The dog owner came down and heard the neighbours whistling as an invitation for Roger rabbit to come back home.

Gaia was sitting in the garden with this special look in her eyes.

The neighbour asked the dog owner if they did not see his rabbit. The truth is that they had not seen it until they re-enteed the house through the patio door and seen a black fluffy ball like rabbit curledunder the chair.

It did not move at all. They took the poor thing to the vet and it appeared that rabbit had a heart attack.

I could not believe that could happen especially taking into account what a sweet and gentle soul she is who would never hurt anything. It's sad things turned out bad for the neighbors' little bunny.
