One of Michigan's Snowy Owls takes off and zeros in on a rodent! The mouse had been placed there by another photographer to try to induce the owl to fly. Although I question the ethics of doing this, the snowy owl at least got a free meal, and many of them are very hungry, being driven south this winter by a need for food. Shot at Muskegon County Waste Water Treatment Facility, a few miles north of Apple Ave., or M-46. Here is the story about these owls from the local paper:
