Back in Castlefield again, on my tour of revisiting places with my new camera gear as I learn it's intricacies...

I do feel like I'm getting to grips with the D700 nicely now, it's such a well put together piece of kit and it's a pleasure to use once you know where all the features/buttons/levers are. Nice and study in my big clumsy hands too :)

Anyway, ended up with this black and white piece of work - I always like how the shadows fall on the iron and brickwork of the area, with black & white just suiting the place beautifully.

A really good b+w image. I like it a lot.

It looks like a quiet spot that lacks beauty but this shot transorms its light and shadows into something else completely.

Excellent work. I found this place hard work to photograph, but you have shown the way. Well Done. Andrew
