Hope For Us All
( EXPLORED!!! ) Detroit gets a bad rap for having so many abandoned buildings, but where are the stories about the historic buildings that HAVE been renovated? Buildings such as the Book Cadillac Hotel, Hotel Fort Shelby, a dozen mansions in Brush Park, The Madison Theater Building, and many others as well as recent renovations that started at the Broderick Tower and Whitney Building - 2 buildings that I wasn't sure would ever see renovations. These stories ( along with stories such as the Fox Theater, etc ) could give a guy hope for all the buildings that need "some love", including one of my faves above - The abandoned Fisher Plant #21. The outside of the building has been serving a purpose for the city of Detroit for the last 6 months, now let's work on the inside. :)
Title from one of my favorite Nick Lowe songs.
