Michigan Capitol Building in Lansing

The Capitol Building was originally designed by Elijah Meyers in a Neoclassical style and was completed in 1878. It was named a National Historic Place in 1971. The statue is of Austin Blair, Michigan's governor during the Civil War. The building is located in the heart of Downtown Lansing.
