Gloria Goldfinch

Meet Gloria the Goldfinch. The fifth in my British Bird Series.

This is one of my least favourite of the series but I still like her.

European Gldfinches are a little more understated than their striking American relatives, with just a flash of yellow on their wings and a lovely red face :-)

I built a couple of props for Gloria, the first being a feeder. It didn't turn out quite how I envisaged it lol

The second is an attempt at a nest complete with some eggs.

Can you spot the bad egg?

For more pictures and detail, take a look on MOCpages

Please support me to help these birds spread their wings, there is a chance these could be available to purchase as official LEGO sets if I get 10,000 supporters, follow the link and click support.

Many Thanks!

Awesome! I really love the bird feeder too!

Well done! Little confused at first... But it seems goldfinch is called distelvink in Dutch and our goudvink is a bullfinch in English... Love these birds man :)

stenertje Thank you! That is really confusing, I was considering building a bullfinch but I think I'd need sand red to get his chest feathers right, I have 1 sand red piece which is of no use at all lol.

It's the studs that make it so alive, aren't they wonderful?

These are fabulous! Have you thought about whether you, Lego and the RSPB or BTO could collaborate to make the kits for these to raise money for those charities? The Robin is my fave by the way - keep up the good work!
