Mexican Pincushion-Mammillaria magnimamma-close up

March 12, 2012

Mexican Pincushion (Mammillaria magnimamma)-A small cactus from Mexico with a somewhat flattened stem that slightly emerges from the soil. Flowers can be either cream colored or deep purple-pink. Mexican Pincushion should be granted some afternoon shade for best results. Find this little beauty along the Desert Discovery Loop Trail.
