The monastery of Holy Trinity was a filming location in the 1981 James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only, when it was being used as a base by the villainous Kristatos (played by Julian Glover). Kristatos fatally knifed on the outside of the monestary by Milos Columbo (Topol). Another villain killed at the location was Eric Kriegler (John Wyman), who was pushed to his death through a window by Bond (Roger Moore)
