Denver Beer Co. -- 1695 Platte Street, Denver

2012 Denver Mayor's Design Awards winner. Category: Use It or Lose It!

Charlie Berger and Patrick Crawford transformed a former vehicle repair garage in the Platte Valley into a brew house, tasting room and outdoor German-style beer garden. Glass garage doors facing Platte Street are thrown open in fine weather, activating Lower Downtown’s

most engaging and human-scaled retail street. Barely a block from the pedestrian bridge linking LoHi to downtown, the Co (yes, that’s intentionally relaxed/non corporate) is a wonderful reuse of urban real estate, an old building and beautiful brewing equipment.
