I saw this spectacular scene in Bangkok.
It was late afternoon. Weather report was "Thunderstorm". When I opened the curtain the first thing come to my mind is "The war of light and darkness", then "Apollo vs. Hades". However, I recalled the book written by Sir Winston Churchill's "The Gathering Storm". I think it is a more appropriate title, as the darkness soon covered the land and then light finally came out again.
Taken by Canon 40D with Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 1/40s, f8, ISO400, handheld, spot metering on the cloud. I took 12 pictures and create a panorama by Hugin. No Photoshop.
This is the "Judgment Day" version. As suggested by my friend Frank and my photography course master, I deliberately tune down the light and cropped out most of the buildings. I was shocked by the impact of the photo. Enjoy!
