B-767 Spirit of Delta Exhibit Opens 12/2006
The interior of The Spirit of Delta Boeing 767 airplane was transformed into exhibition space. The foward third of the plane was left in final flight mode. (Its last flight was 3/6/06.) The middle part of the plane contains two exhibits - one about the plane's unique past, and one highlighting how jets have affected Delta over the years. The back third is a conference room with the aft galley as a "scene from 1982." The aircraft was officially rededicated as Museum exhibit space on 12/15/06, 24 years after it's original dedication ceremony.
