Ethel the Cat, Balancing on Top of a Gate

Ethel was one of hundreds of cats who were surrendered by a lady up in or near Marion County, Oregon. Seven of the cats were sent to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis, Oregon because of lack of space in Marion County. Ethel is one of the seven who were sent here. All of her body hair was shaved off. I am not sure if it was for sanitation, for surgery, or because of matting or what, but anyway, the fur is starting to grow back, and with it, her personality is more curious and more warm and more bold. She scampered up on the top of this gate, and was quite curious to see who was coming into the room. I think she is feeling pretty good. I don't know who, but she will be just right for someone.

PS Ethel says a really warm hello to TOBY, MEL, LATTE, & MONTANA & now COOKIECAT too. Since she dropped by their fan clubs tonight, she wanted to be sure you all know she is a big fan...

BTW, Ethel got a forever home last year (2006) not too many weeks after I posted this.
