Moon Invitational
Works in a Variety of media
April 6 - 28, 2019

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, The Delaplaine Arts Center invited artists to participate in an exhibition that captures the intrigue of the only place beyond Earth where humans have set foot.

The Moon has been a source for scientific discovery, a spiritual compass, a contributor to the celestial calendar, and a beacon of light during a dark voyage. Throughout human history, it has also been a creative inspiration for artists.

The artwork presented shows the myriad of roles the Moon plays throughout our lives and reminds us that together we can accomplish the unthinkable.
