Torii | by deena_in_tokyo

Fushimi Inari is famous for its mountain path lined with torii. The torii are usually donated (i.e. purchased from the shrine) by businesses and sometimes individuals. R and I thought we would make a quick loop around the path before we left the shrine, but little did we know that the path was miles long!! By the time we finally found a map posted on the trail we had walked nearly two hours. Needless to say, we didn't make it to the end, but it was amazing to walk so far surrounded by torii.
