Postcard from Tartu
Kissing Students fountain at the Town Hall Square.
When I arrived at the Tartu bus station, I accidentally started walking in a wrong direction. I walked about one kilometre before I noticed my mistake, and I kept kept wondering why the buildings looked so run-down and there didn't seem to be many shops, even though I was supposed to be almost at the city centre.
However, when I finally found the real city centre, it turned out to be a really charming town with lots of nice bars and restaurants. The city has a very nice selection of different kinds of night clubs and bars – probably because Tartu is an University town and lots of students live there. The Town Hall Square is the centre point of the city, with the main pedestrian street going through it at the middle.
