#BookADay: TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE by Jenny Han (Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers). So enjoyed this book -- I must check out other books that the author has written. Loved how she showed the developing relationships, especially between Lara Jean and her sisters. Loved how the main character's Korean background manifested itself through little authentic details throughout. Loved the subtle handling of the background involving the mom's death. I also found the naïve and sometimes awkward main character a refreshing change from the somewhat cynical and "always ready with a witty comeback"-type of teen character common in YA (I was much more like the former than the latter as a teen).

My favorite parts of the book, though, were all about the family relationships. Many emotional truths, and conveyed SO well. I was excited to hear that there's going to be a sequel coming out in 2015: www.goodreads.com/book/show/20698530-p-s-i-still-love-you
