i have another questions deb, i love that you airbrush and i notice on most airbrush machines and inks that it is alcohol based ink, do you know of any inks that aren't ? for religious purpose i don't use alcohol in any of my baking , but i would to try out airbrushing if it was viable for me. thought you might know coz your a pro at it =)

    thanks all!!
Kelly: LOL! well, marshmallows WOULD have been easier lol!!!... the onions are actually bits of fondant, chopped and lustre dusted
Maryam: I use two brands predominantly Chefmaster and Americolor, Chefmaster does use propolyne glycol but I find no mention of any alcohol based ingredients in the americolor colors, hope that helps!

Hey Deb, is the actual hot dog fondant or cake covered in fondant?

  17. debbiedoescakes 61 months ago | reply

it's a cake too =) it's pretty big so that would just be too much fondant if fondant alone. I try to keep thins as edible and tasty as possible. Yes, I sometimes have no choice when it comes to structure to use inedible materials but I do try and keep it to a minimum. Not that fondant is inedible, lol! but who would want a huge chunk of it? =)
