This rock was once a Halifax tourist destination in the 1800s. Visitors would take a ladder to the top while people below would heave on the rock until it, well, rocked. King George V reportedly went for a rock on this rock in 1883, before he was king.


I wasn't able to properly capture the sense of scale here. I needed somebody standing next to it for reference but there was nobody in sight. The rock is 450 tons of fun and has a circumference of 100 feet.
