A couple/three acres in a natural bowl beside the Columbia River. Although there are some nice markers here, it’s not stuffed with exotica; its main charm being its impressive location hard by the mighty Columbia. The towns on the Washington side of the Columbia, being shielded from the Interstate traffic across the river, have a more languid charm than their Oregon counterparts. Hwt. 14, which parallels the river through Washington, is a much slower route than I-84, but is much more amenable to a leisurely pace and frequent stops. The highway noise intrudes upon the cemetery, but not beyond reason. This is a nice spot for a picnic or a smoke, if you’re passing by.
