la center cemetery
Three long and narrow acres with a handful of older trees and being surrounded by rampant home construction. As a rule, Clark County is not a rich vein of cemetery extravaganza, but this cemetery on the way to the Cascades is a pleasant cut above the rest.

If I have any real gripe with Clark County, it’s its inability to name a road and stick with it. Instead, every time a road takes a turn it picks up a new name, usually such as 239th St. or 41st. Ave. Always charming.

From NW Pacific Hwy. in downtown La Center, head east on W. 4th St., which quickly becomes E. 4th St. After about a half-mile NE Highland St. slices off to the northeast. Take it snd cemetery will shortly appear on the north side of the road.
