woodbine/green mountain cemeteries
There’s a sign for each cemetery here, but no way to distinguish where one begins and the other lets off. They’re accompanied by the headquarters' cottage for the Rainier Cemetery Maintenance Dist., to whom a lot of credit goes for their faithful upkeep of their wards.

The cemeteries are not wide but are long and stretch perhaps eight acres up an incline. The grounds are fairly open, skirted by trees on the far side. Like its counterpart across the road, it’s a rich mine of visuals, including such eccentricities as a tug boat; large RV; touring motorcycle; sport-fishing boat; set of mechanic’s tools; a semi cab; small plane; stock car; ocean freighter; a bike and a trike; and the USS Northhampton, a WWII cruiser.
