ioof cemetery (grass valley)
Not a whole lot of people dying to get into this cemetery, but it’s constantly in use. I don’t know if the Odd Fellows still manage the place, but someone does. It’s on somewhat of a rise, with nary a tree in sight, and the tombstones look impressive silhouetted against the sky.

Grass Valley is not overly prosperous, and the stones here reflect that modesty. There are a few nice handmade crosses, including a metal one with eight horseshoes welded to it in a rose pattern. A number of the graves are included within demarcated family plots.

The grass in Grass Valley was rye.

To the west of Hwy. 97, just north of Grass Valley. There are signs.
