On the road to recovery....

    Newer Older

I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful encouraging emails and prayers they were a ray of sunshine. Today I was able to go for a ride in the mountains and take a few photographs and it was wonderful. Getting in and out of a car is challenging but it so worth it. The fall foliage is peaking and it was beautiful!

It is so good to be able to get out and about! I have been pretty much confined to the house since surgery. However, everything indicates that the surgery was successful and I am recovering very nicely. My life is controlled by the BLT rule, no bending, lifting, or twisting. So I am pretty limited, I am walking now without the assistance of a walker as of Friday and I have had all staples removed. Wearing the back brace is not nearly as bad as I had anticipated it is actually very comfortable and removes the strain off of my spine.

I am back and I sure missed all of my Flickr friends…Thank you again!

I am so sorry I missed your surgery and the anxiety that must have led up to it. I would have sent prayers and well wishes to you by the bagful! I am happy to see you back, to hear that you are on your way to recovery, and to know that you have spent some time in the beautiful outdoors, getting fresh air and taking beautiful pictures. I see that autumn in Virginia is as wonderfully colorful and rich as it is here in New England. You are in my prayers now until you're back to 110%! Happy weekend, darling. xo
Seen on your photo stream. (?)

Mmmm, love BLT's. The ones with lots of thin crispy bacon are best and 'miracle whip' rather than real mayonaise.

I had pneumonia a few years ago and was too sick the leave the house for nearly a week. I was well on my way to going bonkers, so I'm glad to hear (and see) you're out and about.

      congrats on the successful surgery.

Amazing photo...the empty country road going off into the trees like that...makes me want to roll the clock back and do some fall hiking. Glad to hear your surgery was successful, I'm sure by now you're mostly healed.
