My favorite era of road racing was the Can-Am years of the late 60s and early 70s. While I was too young to see the races of that era in person (too young to drive to the tracks that hosted the races), I loved watching race highlights on television. Now it's a real treat to attend vintage races and see, hear and feel those classic cars in action.
This McLaren M8F was originally driven by Denny Hulme in 1971. Now it's owned by Indianapolis businessman Chris MacAllister. Here it's being driven to a fourth-place finish in the inaugural Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
