Scholar and Photographer Deborah Willis (Reflections in Black, Posing Beauty, Picturing Us) with award winning filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris (Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela, Eh Minha Cara/That's My Face) on location at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture during filming for the upcoming "Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People" is a PBS documentary and multimedia community engagement project that explores how African American have used the camera as a tool for social change from the dawn of photography in the 1840s through to the present day.
