Our Flag Flying At Sebastian Bridge

    Newer Older

I love the Flag and the way it Flies. This flag was waving as the fishermen passed it going fishing at the Sebastian Bridge. The duck tape only adds beauty to it in my eyes...Simple, but right on track in my book.

    Thank you for your visit.

I love the shot, and I love the sentiment ................ but did you know that outside of the USA it is called "duct tape"? or, it is also called "gaffer tape". Origin: refrigeration mechanics (of which my brother is one), and tin bashers have used this tape for decades to seal off duct areas of airconditioning systems throughout buildings during installation ............ (I know there is a manufacturer in the USA who has named his "DUCK TAPE", because legally he couldn't name it "duct tape" so the ad campaign became a play on words). And in the movie business, the employee who used tape to hang curtains, etc., on sets was referred to as the "gaffer" ....... and even though he used the same kind of tape, (duct tape), it evolved on set to being the "gaffer's tape", hence "gaffer tape". hahahaha, just what you wanted to know, aye Dorothy? DUCT TAPE 101. Your shot is a lovely one, and the duck tape only enhances it. ;-))
