Things Bigger Than Us

I've been meaning to take this shot for a few weeks; last night I finally went out and did it. It was cold out side; about 30 degrees F.

I like the juxtaposition of the cross against the stars in space.

I was pleased the light pollution from the city didn't completely wash out the stars, but the nearby sodium vapor lights did tint my foreground more than I preferred.

Strobist Info: One pop from my Sigma EF-500 Super DG from camera right to give some additional dimension to the cross.

Update: I have received many questions about the exposure, etc on this shot. I give more details down in the comments; particularly this comment.
