Another shot I sacrificed My Retina to Get...
I guess I didn't punish my eyes enough on this shot, so I decided I would have another go at it.
After leaving Fort Collins, Colorado last week, I headed over to Moab, Utah to spend some time in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
The weather was fantastic for most of the trip to Moab, except on Saturday. The winds kicked up pretty hard and lets just say that I have a pretty good idea how a Sandstone Arch gets formed now. I have an incredible amount of sand in my camera, car, camping gear... ugh.
This is a manual blend of two exposures (one for the underside of the Arch itself and the other for the Canyon).
Mesa Arch is pretty iconic and if you have never been, you should go to see the sunrise through it at least once. Get there early though, because you will be elbow to elbow with photographers.
