Night Magic

As this brilliant curtain faded, before generating an abundance of wildly spiralling curtains directly overhead, a thin layer of violet briefly appeared between the red upper heights and the everyday emerald Aurora below.

Despite the unusual absence in this night's display of even a hint of the commonly seen pink nitrogen line, I think this may be one of the prettiest gradients of Auroral light my camera has ever captured.
