( Latin: light of the northern night)
Just caught the tail end of last night/ / this morning's brief Auroral display over Whitehorse, here seen above the ice of Schwatka Lake.
Just before this, as I was racing away from the city center, there had been a few minutes of vigorous and vividly colored activity, but naturally, as soon as I pulled over and got my tripod set up, things calmed down. Nice to see, anyhow, since the season of constant daylight is nearly upon us here.
